Joining LSAMP at Syracuse

The transition to a new and unfamiliar environment can be a challenging for students. LSAMP helps students to bridge key transitions: from high school to college; from college into graduate school; and ultimately into a rewarding career in science, technology, math, or engineering.

We support student success by providing financial, academic, and social support, as well as wonderful career building opportunities. LSAMP also provides personal, professional and leadership opportunities to strengthen character and foster cultural and social competencies.

Eligibility

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Member of a historically underrepresented group in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
  • Good academic standing.
  • Pursuing a baccalaureate degree in: Applied Mathematics, Architecture, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Engineering (Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical), Information Sciences, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Nutrition Sciences, Physics, Statistics, Systems Science, Education (Math Education, Science Education, Computer Science Education)
  • A desire to enroll in graduate school and/or pursue a career in a STEM field.
