We work inside Syracuse schools every day— building trust and relationships with students, school staff, volunteers, families and community partners— to empower students in and out of the classroom with tutoring, counseling, college and career prep, mentoring and more.
Our staff work one-on-one with students to identify their strengths and needs and connect them to resources and relationships designed to help them succeed.
Our work doesn’t stop when the bell rings— we support Liberty students outside the classroom through after school and summer programs. We consider ourselves responsible for our students’ success from the moment they enroll through the summer after graduation, and we are not easily discouraged if it proves difficult to connect with a student.
When Liberty was founded 34 years ago, a high school diploma could mean finding a job with a living wage. Today, a high school diploma is just a stepping stone. That’s why at Liberty, we help students plan for life after high school graduation too.
